1 General description
1.1 FN12-24RD series HV puffer-type load switch and its composite apparatus is AC 24kV, 50Hz indoor high-voltage switch. The load switch with high technical parameters and reliable movement, its basic operating type is by manual, but also can be equipped with electromagnet spring operating mechanism. Based on puffer arc-extinguishing principle, it can break repeatedly, no need to change vacuum interrupter. Under normal circuit condition, high-voltage load switch can make, bear and break load current, and has the ability to make short-circuit current, and bear short-circuit current in certain times.
FN12-24RD series load switch can be installed with earthing switch. The earthing switch has the same capability of short-circuit making and dynamic stability with load switch, and has strict mechanical interlock with load switch, which structure ensure no misopertion.
1.2 When FN12-24RD series load switch installed with high-voltage current-limiting fuse (with striker), make a load switch-fuse composite apparatus, as overload and short-circuit protection of load (such as power transformer). When one or more phases of fuse melted down, three phases of load switch open automatically. High-voltage load switch is suitable to install in ring main unit and other switchgear types, used as accepting and distributing power.
1.3 Applying ambient conditions:
a. Ambient temperature: -10ºC~+40ºC.
b.The height above sea level: no more than 1000m.
c.Relative humidity: the average humidity of a day should be no more than 95%; the average humidity of a month should be no more than 90%.
d. Seismic intensity: below 8 degrees.
